Last week I found myself needing a blogging break. I just got a touch overwhelmed and really needed to find something inspiring that I really loved and wanted to post about. That’s about the time I saw photographer Debbie Carlos’ posters. These oversized prints are taken from her series, Human Nature, which are images taken at the Chicago Field Museum’s nature displays in a way to imitate actual nature photography.

The result is a beautiful, quirky commentary about how we experience nature from a distance.The sheer poetics of these would make great art and conversation pieces for the home.
